In recent years, I have found myself once again enchanted and bewitched by colour. More to the point … deep, saturated colour. The ‘single feature wall’ trend has been replaced with the embrace of deep, moody shades of charcoal, emerald, plum, mustard and deep, delightful, delicious, drown in it … BLUE!
As my family has grown and my tastes have changed and matured, it feels so right to introduce these beautiful shades into my home. Tie this together with the massive leap from vintage, post war Queenslander to city fringe apartment and I am sure you will agree that the time has come for this new era. Have no fear however my dear friends. My love of vintage pieces … for quality and timeless, classic design will never wane and I hope you too will come with me on this new and daring colour journey.
Although our son is now grown and not often home … this room will always be his, no matter how old he gets. I know all the parents out there are nodding their heads … their room will A L W A Y S be theirs. Gone are the little boys toys (well most of them), and in their place is a stunning bamboo desk, stylish tan leather chair, luxurious linen and accessories. It is mature and comfortable, practical and handsome and just like the boy who lives here … I just adore it!
